Oklahoma Sooners Football Recruiting: OU lands four-star OL Eddy Pierre-Louis

After a long recruitment of the Florida prospect, Bill Bedenbaugh comes away with a victory.

After a long recruitment, Tampa Catholic four-star OL Eddy Pierre-Louis has committed to the Oklahoma Sooners. Offensive line coach Bill Bedenbaugh was able to secure his commitment over plenty of other contenders, including Miami, Oregon and UCF.

Pierre-Louis’ projections are all over the map, ranging from nationally unranked to No. 28 overall, depending on the service. What is undoubtedly true, however, is that the kid has a very high ceiling. At 315 pounds, he has recorded a 12.97 in the 100m, and he carries a frame to get even bigger and stronger.

The news of Cayden Green’s entry into the tranfer portal certainly soured the mood of OU fans this week, but Bedenbaugh’s ability to close with Pierre-Louis can be seen as nothing other than an encouraging sign for the future of his position group. Bill B continues to put offensive linemen in the NFL, and if EPL puts his nose to the grindstone, he figures to add his name to that list.

With this commitment, OU now totals 27 commitments for the 2024 class, which currently puts them at No. 8 nationally in On3’s industry rankings.
