Jordan Mukes wasn’t always considered a blue-chip recruit, but one thing is for certain — Alex Grinch knew who he wanted all along. Now a four-star prospect, the Choctaw, Oklahoma safety has officially signed with the Oklahoma Sooners.

How he fits
If you’ve been paying attention to OU’s defensive recruiting since Alex Grinch took over on that side of the ball, you’ve noticed a pattern. In just his second class since moving to Norman, the man has now signed three safeties who stand at at least 6’3” (the other being Bryson Washington and Justin Harrington in 2020). With Mukes being 6’4”, lengthy and highly athletic, he simply checks all the boxes for a Grinch safety.
