According to press releases from the involved parties, the Saturday’s game between the Oklahoma Sooners and West Virginia Mountaineers has been cancelled. West Virginia has shut down its program for the next seven days due to concerns associated with positive COVID-19 tests and contact tracing. The game between the two schools was originally slated for Nov. 28 but was postponed due to the same issues within OU’s program.

Fortunately, OU has played enough games to still be eligible for next week’s Big 12 Championship, but this would have provided a much-needed tune-up following the ho-hum performance against Baylor. On the other hand, OU should be fresh heading into this one with two full weeks of practice under its belt.
