The votes are in, and five Oklahoma Sooners have been named to the Preseason All-Big 12 Team.
Kennedy Brooks, CeeDee Lamb (WR and return specialist), Grant Calcaterra, Creed Humphrey, and Kenneth Murray have earned enough favor from the media to land spots on the team, with Murray also being recognized as the Big 12 Preseason Defensive Player of the Year. Additionally, grad transfer QB Jalen Hurts has been named the conference’s Preseason Newcomer of the Year (which was a massive no-brainer).
Texas’ Sam Ehlinger has earned the nod for Preseason Offensive Player of the Year. I’m sure that will hold up, as Texas and its players have a long history of living up to preseason hype.
