Oklahoma Sooners Football Recruiting: 2020 DB Dontae Manning commits to Oklahoma

Among the key visitors during the Friday Night Lights Spring Game, Kansas City (MO) Raytown defensive back Dontae Manning has chosen the Oklahoma Sooners over Michigan, Nebraska, Notre Dame and others.

Manning is a four-star prospect and his body type is exact frame Alex Grinch is hoping to build the Oklahoma defense around in the subsequent years of his tenure. Manning is a rangy 6’1, 175 lbs. and would likely add another 10-15 pounds to be at a preferred playing weight.

The nation’s No. 181 overall prospect is a full-go at cornerback and is a physical presence at the point of attack during press coverage.

Dontae Manning is the first of the Spring Game visitors to publicly commit over the weekend. Lincoln Riley has sent out three pairs of eyeball emojis during the weekend and this recent commitment confirms one pair of the emojis. One previous set of eyeballs (late March) is also still unaccounted for.
