Oklahoma Sooners Football Recruiting: 2020 CB Jalen Huff decommits from Oklahoma

Oklahoma still has the No. 1 recruiting class in the Big 12.

Class of 2020 three-star DB Jalen Huff has announced that he is no longer committed the Oklahoma Sooners, citing OU’s defensive staff changes as a primary reason that lead to this decision.

Huff originally made a verbal commitment to Oklahoma in November, but after DB coach Kerry Cooks, his primary recruiter, moved on to Texas Tech in January, the connection between the Georgia prospect and the Sooners waned.

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets appear to lead in Huff’s re-opened recruitment and have been the rumored choice for quite some time. Fortunately for Oklahoma, there is plenty of time between now and the early signing period to recruit another CB to fill the void. Factoring in the decommitment, the Sooners still have six verbal commitments, the nation’s 14th ranked class, and are No. 1 in the Big 12. With the Spring Game and official visit season on the horizon, it’s reasonable to expect that all to change sooner rather than later.
