Dennis was a Clemson lean for quite some time, but the Sooners were able to easily hold off a late attempt from Florida State.

The Oklahoma Sooners entered the day with a couple of talented defensive back signatures in play, and one of those players just made his announcement on ESPNU.

Four-star Lakeland, Fla. cornerback Kendall Dennis has signed with OU, bolstering what is already an impressive defensive class.

Dennis, the nation’s No. 363 overall prospect and No. 29 CB in the 2020 class according to the 247Composite rankings, was until recently considered a Clemson lean. However, with the numbers no longer working for Dabo Swinney’s program, Roy Manning grasped the opportunity and ended up securing a vital commitment.

Simply put, Dennid has the size and speed to fit Alex Grinch’s ideal mold for a defensive back. His instincts and general athleticism put him over to top as someone with enormous upside.
