Record-breaking wide receiver Marvin Mims flipped from the Stanford Cardinal to the Oklahoma Sooners just over a month ago, and now he’s officially a member of OU’s class after signing his National Letter of Intent.

Mims, a four-star prospect out of Frisco (Texas) Lone Star, set the all-time national record for receiving yards in a single season during his school’s playoff run, and he was able to break the Texas career receiving yards record one week later. The positive attributes that carried him to these feats are readily apparent, and he has the tools to be a perfect fit as a slot receiver in Oklahoma’s offense.

Mims is one of three current receivers in the fold for OU’s 2020 class along with Trevon West and Brian Darby. With the Sooners presumably returning only four scholarship receivers (five scholarship-quality receivers if you include Drake Stoops), it wouldn’t be surprising to see OU add another at the position between now and February.
