Oklahoma Sooners Football Recruiting: Tracking the Early Signing Period for the 2020 Class

Oklahoma will be receiving National Letters of Intent throughout the day on Wednesday, but targets still remain.

We’ve reached the point where the majority of the country’s top 2019 prospects are already verbally committed to some school or another. Most of those commitments will stick, though there will certainly be exceptions. Additionally, the majority of current commits will be signing a National Letter of Intent when the Early Signing Period begins Wednesday morning (again — with some exceptions).

Entering Wednesday, the Oklahoma Sooners have 20 commitments in their 2020 class, which currently sits at No. 8 in the 247Composite Team Rankings. However, they appear to be losing running back Jase McClellan, but they are also on track to receive some signatures from talented defensive backs.

Down at the bottom of the page, we’ll be keeping track of signatures and moving the names around accordingly.

Current Early Period Targets

Dontae Manning - CB - Kansas City (Mo.) Raytown - Four Stars

The one-time OU commit and longtime OU lean appears to have slipped out of the staff’s grasp, and Oregon is now looking like the heavy favorite. He’s someone who probably shouldn’t even be listed here, but we’ll go ahead and keep him on here anyway because of A. the history between the two and B. the unpredictable nature of his recruiting timeline.
