Early Signing Period 2020: 4-star OL Aaryn Parks signs with Oklahoma

Bill Bedenbaugh continues to build The Great Wall of Norman.

NCAA Football: Baylor at Oklahoma Kevin Jairaj-USA TODAY Sports

Bill Bedenbaugh is a man on a mission to build the biggest and best wall of humans ever constructed to protect Lincoln Riley’s quarterbacks. With Aaryn Parks signing his LOI, he is continuing Coach B’s trend. The Fort Washington, Maryland prospect has signed with the Oklahoma Sooners and is on his way to Norman.

Parks has already filled out his form, standing at a stature of 6’4, 320 lbs. with long arms and a mean streak. He’s an elite offensive tackle with ideal size and athleticism, and Parks is one of the best players in Oklahoma’s recruiting class — even if the rankings do not reflect it. According to 247Sports, Parks is No. 6 at his position, Maryland’s No. 9 prospect, and the No. 198 player nationally.

Parks is incredibly talented but is joining an already loaded Sooner offensive line that has quality depth as much as it has quality youth being developed. Parks has incredible reach and a mean streak, but has a bit to show regarding the quickness of his feet. He has an incredibly high upside and that’s what Lincoln Riley and Bill Bedenbaugh are counting on.
