Following the bye week and Florida’s loss to Georgia, the Oklahoma Sooners have moved up to No. 7 in this week’s SB Nation FanPulse poll. Sixty-six of the NCAA team brands fan bases voted to create this week’s Top 25, and here’s what the data tells us:

Here’s how Oklahoma fans voted this week:
- LSU (8-0)
- Ohio State (8-0)
- Alabama (8-0)
- Clemson (9-0)
- Penn State (8-0)
- Georgia (7-1)
- Oklahoma (7-1)
- Baylor (8-0)
- Utah (8-1)
- Oregon (8-1)
- Auburn (7-2)
- Florida (6-2)
- Minnesota (8-0)
- Notre Dame (6-2)
- Memphis (8-1)
- Cincinnati (6-1)
- Wisconsin (6-2)
- Michigan (7-2)
- Wake Forest (7-1)
- SMU (8-1)
- Kansas State (6-2)
- Boise State (7-1)
- San Diego State (7-1)
- App State (7-1)
- Louisiana Tech (7-1)
A few things:
- Alabama and LSU were each on a bye week, but Oklahoma fans thought it fitting to flip the two of them. Fine by me. Live your truth.
- Following a bye week of their own, Texas didn’t even make an appearance in the national poll’s ‘also receiving votes’ category. The ‘Horns face Kansas State this week, and another loss would take them from ‘not back’ to ‘very not back’. I like the chances of this occurring.
- Speaking of receiving votes, the three ranked Big 12 teams — Oklahoma, Baylor and Kansas State — are also the only ones from the conference who can claim one in this week’s national poll. This conference is quite possibly the deepest from top to bottom but doesn’t quite receive the respect to reflect it.
