After another nail-biter on the gridiron, the Oklahoma Sooners stayed put at No. 6 in this week’s SB Nation FanPulse poll. Sixty-six of the NCAA team brands fan bases voted to create this week’s Top 25, and here’s what the data tells us:

A few things:
- After falling to Baylor, Texas is absent from this week’s poll. Texas was also absent last week, but I felt the need to point it out all the same.
- Oklahoma fans are actually getting it right by placing the Sooners ahead of Alabama, as the Crimson Tide have zero (0) top-25 wins in any poll at this point. Even if ‘Bama beats Auburn this week, the Tide will have a weak resumé and won’t be playing in their own conference championships game. Having said that, don’t expect the usual suspects to refrain from stumping for this team regardless. If you weren’t already avoiding college football talk shows, now might be a good time to start.
- This week, college football fans across the country were asked an important question? Which Thanksgiving side should be banned? Candied yams/sweet potatoes are the winner (or loser) at 31.2 percent, with green bean casserole (29.2), mac and cheese (25.5) stuffing (10.3) and mashed potatoes (3.7) rounding out the results.
