Oklahoma Sooners Football climbs to No. 6 in SB Nation FanPulse poll

Following the comeback win at Baylor, Oklahoma moved up two spots in the eyes of college football fans.

After coming back from a 28-3 deficit to defeat the Baylor Bears in Waco, the Oklahoma Sooners climbed two spots to No. 6 in this week’s SB Nation FanPulse poll. Sixty-six of the NCAA team brands fan bases voted to create this week’s Top 25, and here’s what the data tells us:

  • In the national survey, fans were asked to pick the team most likely to make the College Football Playoff out of Alabama, Georgia, Oklahoma, Oregon and Utah. 17.5 percent picked Oklahoma, which is good for third in the group. Georgia leads with 30.4 percent, with Oregon (29.7), Alabama (15.5) and Utah (6.9) coming in at second, fourth and fifth, respectively.
  • In the fan confidence survey, 93.1 percent of Oklahoma fans stated that they were confident in the direction of the football program (up from 69 percent last week). For comparison, Texas fans currently come in at 10.4 percent. Tom Herman is indeed losing that fan base. Hate. To. See. It.
  • In the hoops survey, 91.1 percent of OU fans gave a vote of confidence to Lon Kruger’s program.
