According to a report from The Oklahoman, Oklahoma Sooners redshirt sophomore kicker Calum Sutherland is currently involved in a Title IX investigation stemming from an alleged incident occurring the morning of Sept. 21.

Following his arrest for public intoxication that same morning, Sutherland was not dressed for OU’s game against Texas Tech this past Saturday, and we now know that it was due to an indefinite suspension.

According to a police affidavit obtained by The Oklahoman, Sutherland was allegedly involved in an incident with his girlfriend at the Calloway House Apartments just east of campus.

“During contact with the female party she stated a short physical and verbal altercation occurred. I did not observe any injuries on her person. The female subject stated her boyfriend was Calum Sutherland. From information obtained by the victim and uninvolved witnesses it was believed Calum was extremely intoxicated and there was a high likelihood he was going to return back to the apartments and continue to cause problems.”

Sutherland was arrested for public intoxication shortly thereafter.

We will provide further updates as they become available.
