According to Oklahoma Sooners head coach Lincoln Riley, RUSH linebacker Jon-Michael Terry will miss the remainder of the season with what is described as a lower-leg injury suffered in practice.
Riley says the non-contact injury happened during practice last week. #Sooners

Terry, a redshirt junior out of Tulsa (Okla.) Victory Christian, started at the RUSH position in each of Oklahoma’s first six games of 2019, recording 16 total tackles, 2.5 tackles-for-loss and a half-sack. After suffering numerous setbacks in his effort to find snaps prior to this season, it was fantastic to see the talented Sooner State product playing such a large role. Unfortunately, his season has been cut short just as it was taking off, and you have to feel for the guy.
Oklahoma has given plenty of game reps to redshirt freshman Nik Bonitto and true freshman David Ugwoegbu, with the former getting the starting nod in Terry’s absence this past week. Each these two young guns have shown flashes of brilliance, so the position appears to be in capable hands moving forward.
