There’s an old adage that says ‘a party’s not a party until the Sooner Schooner takes a dive’. Okay, maybe that’s not a saying, but damn, it just might be after today. While the Oklahoma Sooners were busy beating the brakes off West Virginia, the brakes on OU’s schooner were nowhere to be found. Then this happened:

Just when you thought this game couldn’t become interesting due to the mismatch between the Sooners and the Mountaineers, the game said “Hold my beer.”
On a few plays in the first half, junior WR CeeDee Lamb appeared to have trouble planting and changing direction. There were storms in the area late Friday night and Saturday morning, but so far it’s unclear how much if any affect the saturation in the field had.
It’s a scary sight to see the humanity being slammed into the turf like that, and it’s one that surprisingly doesn’t happen more often than it does. Fortunately, the RUF/NEKs and the Lil’ Sis occupying the careening crimson & cream carriage appeared to be fine following the fallout.
