A key injury might have put a damper on the win

The Oklahoma Sooners rolled through Chip Kelly’s UCLA Bruins without much resistance. After conceding an early touchdown to go down 7-0, OU rattled off 42 unanswered points to put the game out of reach.

Kyler Murray threw for 306 yards and 3 touchdowns. His favorite target was sophomore wide receiver CeeDee Lamb who hauled in 7 catches for 146 yards and a touchdown.

The win came pretty easily, but it wasn’t without sacrifice. Starting running back Rodney Anderson left in the first half with a knee injury, and the outlook is not great.

At the moment, nothing is official, but it appears unlikely that Anderson will take the field for the crimson and cream this season. Head Coach Lincoln Riley said he did not have any updates regarding Anderson’s status in his postgame on-field interview. Anderson returned to the sidelines in street clothes with his knee heavily wrapped in a brace during the second half.

We will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available.
