Following an impressive season-opening win over the Florida Atlantic Owls, the Oklahoma Sooners have moved up one spot to No. 6 in this week’s AP Poll. Washington, who previously occupied the No. 6 spot, fell to Auburn, who moved up to No. 7 following the win. OU stayed put at No. 5 in this week’s Coaches Poll.

Oklahoma currently sits behind Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, Ohio State and Wisconsin in the AP Poll, with the only top-five change being OSU’s leapfrogging of the Badgers. The biggest mover of the week was LSU, who jumped from 25 to 11 after being outgained by Miami in Arlington.

After Texas’ loss to Maryland, the Big 12 now has only three teams ranked by the AP. West Virginia moved up three spots to No. 14, while TCU stayed put at No. 16. The conference has four ranked in the Coaches Poll, with Oklahoma State coming in at No. 23 this week.
