The Oklahoma Sooners sit at No. 5 in the Coaches Poll once again, but they did drop one spot to No. 6 in the AP Poll following Saturday night’s overtime victory over Army. The drop is not a huge surprise nor does it mean anything in the grand scheme of things. The Sooners are still undefeated and will likely be a lock for the playoff if they make it through Big 12 play with one or zero losses.
Elsewhere in the Big 12, West Virginia held steady at No. 12, and Texas reentered the AP Poll at No. 18 after a convincing win over TCU. The Horned Frogs find themselves unranked in either poll for the first time this season, and Oklahoma State dropped out of the AP poll following a shellacking at the hands of Texas Tech. The Red Raiders made their first appearance in the AP poll this season at No. 25.
Here are both polls in their entirety. Big 12 teams in bold.
