Oklahoma Sooners QB commit Spencer Rattler and other OU commits have had their moments at The Opening Finals, and it all culminated with a championship in the 7-on-7 competition. Rattler, Theo Wease and Austin Stogner were also named to the All-Tournament Team.
Team Oklahoma, sorry, Overdrive wins the 7-on-7 competition at The Opening Finals #Sooners

The talk of the day was the battle between Rattler and Auburn QB commit Bo Nix, who were quarterbacking teams OverDrive and Boomin’, respectively. The top two quarterbacks in the 247Composite Rankings led their teams to the final game of the competition, but it was Rattler who unequivocally distinguished himself in the 26-8 win.

Rattler’s four presumptive future targets were their usual, dominant selves on Tuesday, with Wease catching three touchdowns and Arjei Henderson adding another for Team OverDrive.
After the defense — which didn’t include any OU commits — allowed a TD and a two-point conversion to create an 8-7 lead deficit in the contest, OverDrive scored 19 unanswered points to run away with the title. OverDrive actually dropped its first game of the double-elimination tournament before coming all the way back to win it all.
Check out the touch on this pass from Rattler:

The OU receiver commits also have their celebrations down pat. Remember the celebration Baker Mayfield and Marquise Brown did in the Big 12 title game? Theo Wease does...

The most impressive moment of the game came as OU was attempting a conversion following Theo Wease’s final touchdown. Austin Stogner, who stands at around 6’6” and is solidly built, was targeted by Spencer Rattler in the corner and decided to put the defender on a poster. During the YouTube broadcast, the NFL network guys described the spectacular play as “Gronk-ish”. I just wish he would’ve spiked it.
What a catch in the corner of the end zone by @austin_stogner on the conversion. Overdrive is rolling, up 26-8 as we near the five-minute mark. pic.twitter.com/9KSgoOZ64C
