Lincoln Riley has been teasing Oklahoma Sooners fans with the eyeball emojis once again. We now know who one of them happens to be referencing, as JUCO offensive tackle David Swaby has announced his decision to play at Oklahoma. The Navarro College standout is a 2018 prospect and is expected to enroll at OU this summer. He chose the Sooners over Ole Miss, Baylor and Houston after visiting OU this past Friday.

Swaby is 6’9”. Yep, you read that correctly. This dude is tall, possesses plenty of length and has a good deal of upside. One of Oklahoma’s tackle spots is still technically up for grabs, so is it realistic for Swaby to step into that role in 2018? Nope, but I’m excited to see what the future holds for him. And yes, ‘future’ is an appropriate term in this situation, as he’ll be a true sophomore in 2018 (meaning he’ll have four years to play three seasons). Just imagine what a guy like Bill Bedenbaugh can do with a player like this if given adequate time to mold him. Honestly, it’s frightening.
