Oklahoma Sooners head coach has been teasing fans with his eyeball emojis on Twitter for quite some time, and the day’s third set of eyeballs represented none other than Richmond (TX) Fort Bend Bush safety Jamal Morris. Morris joins wide receivers Arjei Henderson and Theo Wease as one of three official visitors to commit to the Sooners in a matter of minutes.

Morris, who is listed as a four-star recruit and the No. 19 safety in the country according to the 247Composite rankings, chose OU over his two other finalists — Texas and LSU. Oklahoma was considered to have the momentum coming into the weekend, and that has clearly proven to be the case.
The 6’2”, 185-lb. Morris is a big and athletic safety who has a serious knack for making the big play. On top of that, he is not afraid to get his hands dirty, as he is physical enough to really contribute against the run for Oklahoma’s defense. Kerry Cooks has won his fair share of important recruiting battles during his time in Norman, and he’s certainly come through once again to win the favor of a sought-after DB.
Morris is Oklahoma’s seventh commit in the class of 2019, which is now ranked fourth nationally by 247 and second by Rivals. The impact that Lincoln Riley has had on this program’s recruiting prowess cannot be overstated, and the success on that front is showing no signs of slowing down at this point.
