It’s been over a year since elite 2019 WR Arjei Henderson originally committed to the Oklahoma Sooners, and it’s been nearly a year since he backed away to reevaluate things. On Friday, the Richmond (TX) Fort Bend Travis prospect announced that’s he’s back on board.

Henderson, who is a four-star recruiting in the 247Composite rankings but has five-star status with Rivals, is one of many recruits who is in Norman for this weekend’s Spring Game. I also wouldn’t expect Henderson’s announcement to be the last BOOM of the weekend for OU.
The 6’1”, 183-lb. Henderson (No. 9 WR in 247Composite rankings, No. 3 WR in Rivals rankings) is a unique talent who thrives in multiple areas as a receiver. In that respect, he may remind some of current OU receiver and fellow Richmond native CeeDee Lamb. He’s a very talented route runner, he’s thrives in the jump-ball game, is fast enough to beat a defense over the top and can definitely make guys miss in the open field.
Henderson joins fellow blue-chip wideout Trejan Bridges in Oklahoma’s class, and the two of them could potentially be joined by Theo Wease — another supremely-talented WR prospect who is in town for an official visit this weekend — in the not-so-distant future (UPDATE: Yup). I believe it goes without saying that the future looks awfully bright at the position.
