It appears that the Oklahoma Sooners will be adding some talent at kicker, as Chardon (OH) Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin School K Gabe Brkic has announced his commitment to OU. Brkic is ranked as the No. 7 kicker in the nation by Kohl’s Kicking.
I'm extremely excited to announce that I will be continuing my academic and athletic career at the University of Oklahoma! Thank you to all my family, friends, and coaches that have helped me through the process. @LincolnRiley BOOMER SOONER pic.twitter.com/Fmd15SWwMO

Brkic (pronounced burk-itch) has received scholarship offers from the likes of New Mexico, Massachusetts, Bowling Green and Air Force but has apparently elected to join the Sooners as a preferred walk-on.
The Ohio native is a talented kid with an exceptionally strong leg who definitely appears to have the game to nail down the kicking duties once senior-to-be Austin Seibert exhausts his eligibility.
During his senio season, Brkic made 10 of his 15 attempts - including a 53-yarder in a playoff game to go along with multiple makes from 40-plus yards.
Brkic, who is also a highly-touted punter, nearly earned a placekicking spot in the Under Armor All-America game, finishing second in the competition to Texas A&M signee Seth Small.
