It appears that dreams do come true after all...
Former Oklahoma Sooners QB and first-round hopeful Baker Mayfield has finally met his idol - Super Bowl halftime performer and former NSYNC frontman Justin Timberlake.

This is a perfect ending that has been in the works for quite some time. Just before the 2017 season began, Mayfield told NBC Sports personality Dan Patrick that he would “kill it” as a backup dancer for his hero. Patrick then made a deal with Mayfield that he would try to set up a meeting on the condition that Mayfield threw at least 40 touchdown passes during his senior season. Mayfield did just that, and now it appears that Patrick has come through with his end of the bargain.
As many of you are aware, Timberlake is the scheduled halftime act for Sunday’s Super Bowl in Minneapolis. If Timberlake is somehow able to get Mayfield out on the stage with him, Mayfield may not top that in his life. I mean, I’m sure he’d rather win the Super Bowl someday, but he really likes Justin Timberlake. It’s highly unlikely (perhaps impossible) given the scale of the performance, but it simply needs to happen on Sunday. It would make Baker a happy man, it would make me a happy man and it would make all of you very happy, as well.
And for the record, he would kill it out there.
