The Oklahoma Sooners pulled out one of their biggest recruiting victories in recent memory when four-star IMG Academy cornerback Brendan Radley-Hiles announced his commitment during the 2018 US Army All-American Bowl.

Radley-Hiles is listed as the No. 48 overall player and No. 7 cornerback in the 247Composite Rankings, but Rivals has him as five-star prospect and ranks him 17th overall in the class of 2018. “Bookie” picked the Sooners over Florida State, UCLA and USC.
The IMG product may not be the biggest cornerback prospect, but he more than makes up for it with his abilities as a playmaker. He could seriously push for playing time in spite of the young depth at his position, so this is a big win for Oklahoma in both the short term and the long term.
Radley-Hiles was a high school teammate of current OU signee and fellow California native TJ Pledger. The two made their official visits to Oklahoma for the Texas Tech game in late October, which was followed by Radley-Hiles’ decommitment from Nebraska shortly thereafter. UCLA and Florida State each came in with a late push after their respective coaching hires, but it was too little, too late.
Oklahoma now has 22 members in its 2018 class, including 18 current signees. Radley-Hiles will enroll early.
