The Big 12 released it’s men’s basketball schedule on Wednesday afternoon, and the Oklahoma Sooners now essentially have a complete schedule (with the exception of a few tip-off times).
Double round-robin in the nation's toughest conference.

The Sooners will be featured on ESPN’s Big Monday twice in 2018 — once against West Virginia in Norman on Feb. 5 and then again at Kansas on Feb. 19. Oklahoma’s Bedlam series with Oklahoma State will be complete (barring a matchup in the Big 12 Tournament) by Jan. 20 this season, which is a bit strange. Every single OU hoops game in 2017-18 will be televised on the ESPN family of networks.
When combining the conference slate with games against elite competition in Portland along with games against Wichita State, Northwestern and Alabama, OU has one of the toughest schedules in the country. OU actually had THE toughest schedule in the country last season, but you can bet that the growing Sooners will fare much better this time around.
Is it too much to expect Oklahoma to give Kansas a run for its money for the Big 12 crown? Probably, but many of these big-time matchups are winnable. I think this OU team can beat Kansas in Norman, and I think having a guy like Trae Young at point guard will really help against West Virginia’s press. The Big 12 is stacked, but look for this talented OU squad to finish in the top half and make the Big Dance.
