Good evening, Sooner Nation!
I’m doing today’s Hot Links on my phone at 38,000 feet, so please excuse us if the post looks a bit different (no bulletpoints, for instance).
In case you missed it, the our man Lincoln Riley made an appearance on ESPN last night. In the interview with SVP, Riley spoke at length about the big shoes he has to fill. You can catch the full interview here.
Trying to get your hands on some season tickets? Thanks to a change made by the Big 12, you may be in luck! 1,000 season tickets will go on sale next Tuesday. Most Big 12 schools send back most of their allotment anyway, so this makes sense.
Former Oklahoma Sooners and current Colorado Rockies pitcher Jon Gray brought the big bat to Coors Field on Wednesday evening. Yeah, yeah, yeah, this happened at altitude, but this is out of the yard to straightaway center at any MLB stadium. It went 467 feet, which is the longest homer for a Rocky this season and longest for an MLB pitcher since 2015. Seriously, what a bomb!
Jon Gray cranks a two-run shot to deep center field and records his first career home run, putting the Rockies up 2-0 in the 2nd inning!!! pic.twitter.com/YX7QO0trLQ— TheRenderMLB (@TheRenderMLB) July 6, 2017
Oklahoma WR commit Jaylon Robinson has moves, y’all.
OU will be represented by Lincoln Riley, Baker Mayfield, Orlando Brown, Ogbonnia Okoronkwo and Steven Parker at Big 12 Media Days later this month in Dallas. We’ll be there to cover it!
