The summer is coming to an end, which means wedding season is finally winding down. The next rash of weddings will likely occur during OU-Texas weekend, which is when terrible couples always seem to decide to get married. One couple, however, has decided to get married right now to avoid creating any football-related conflicts. That’s pretty cool of them, but do you know what’s even cooler? The groom’s cake.

How much time did this take to bake and construct the home of the Oklahoma Sooners? How much did this cost? Actually, it doesn’t matter, because this is undoubtedly worth it. This is the coolest college football-related wedding thing to go viral in recent memory. Every year we see trashy Bama fans walking down the aisle in jerseys or A&M fans playing the Aggie War Hymn over the PA, but this actually took some serious vision and creativity. Above all, the person who made it did an INCREDIBLE job. I mean... the detail is pretty amazing. The exterior is just perfect, and there are all of those little dots that are supposed to be people. Are those dots CANDY!?!? I honestly can’t tell, but I’d like to think so.
I’m not sure how they planned on cutting this thing, but who cares? Also, I can’t decide which piece looks the most appealing. I’d probably have to go with the press box because of the icing, but I feel that there might not be any actual cake inside of it. Hmm...
One more thing — POOOOOOR Iowa State. Oklahoma 48, Iowa State 10. I’m guessing that was the couple’s first game together or something like that, but the score of Oklahoma’s 2013 victory over the Cyclones will forever be etched in viral wedding history. POOOOOOR Iowa State.
Anyway, props to this couple for having a cool thing at their wedding. Congrats and Boomer Sooner!
