Former Oklahoma Sooners head coach Bob Stoops (I can’t believe I just typed that) has been retired for about two days now, but the discussion of the topic will continue for some time. Stoops was on The Dan Patrick Show this morning to talk about his retirement, his father’s passing and what lies ahead.
In the second clip, Stoops doesn’t explicitly say that he retired because of health concerns, but I think this indicates that he really truly does plan on staying retired. However, Stoops didn’t shut the door on coaching. Additionally, he isn’t ruling out broadcasting as a potential career path. It would be incredibly ironic to see Stoops on the other side of things, and I’d thoroughly enjoy watching it!
