Fort Worth wide receiver prospect Jaylon Robinson announced his commitment to the Oklahoma Sooners on Monday, making him the third 2018 wide receiver to commit to OU in the last four days. The former Texas Tech commit also holds offers from Baylor Georgia, Houston and Washington State.

Robinson received a scholarship offer from the Sooners following Lincoln Riley’s promotion, causing him to decommit from the Texas Tech Red Raiders almost immediately. With the new offer clearly meaning a lot to him, a visit to Norman back on June 18 was enough to seal the deal.
Oklahoma has also received commitments from Kundarrius Taylor and Treveon Johnson since Friday, but I think I might be most excited to watch Robinson at the next level. When watching his film, the name Jalen Saunders comes to mind. He has a similar build and running style, and he his a knack for breaking the game wide open with his electrifying play in the open field. Josh Heupel was able to get a lot of production out of Saunders in 1.5 years, so just imagine what Robinson could potentially do in a Lincoln Riley offense for FOUR years.
Robinson is Oklahoma’s 14th 2018 commitment, and he’s the seventh player to commit to OU since Riley took over (sixth from the 2018 class).
