The Oklahoma Sooners already had a commitment from a quick, versatile back for the 2018 class. On Tuesday, the Sooners the perfect compliment to T.J. Pledger when they earned a commitment form Dayton, Ohio, running back Tavion Thomas.
I will like to say that I am verbally committed to Oklahoma university ☑️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️ @LincolnRiley pic.twitter.com/6hyp1CvWAk

Thomas, who stands at 6-2 and weighs 225 pounds, is a bruiser of a back who could strike fear into the hearts of Big 12 defenders for years to come. This is a major pickup for Oklahoma, as Thomas is one of the most sought-after backs in the nation. He currently holds offers from Alabama, Ohio State, Georgia, LSU and Texas among others.
One thing that sticks out about Thomas is that he’s more than just a freak athlete. He’s someone who has exceptional vision and instincts, so he’ll likely be able to make a seamless transition at the next level. His cutting ability is also impressive for a player of his size, and he isn’t exactly slow. I think you all know where my player comparison in headed...
Thomas instantly reminds me of a taller version of Samaje Perine. Not convinced? Check out this stiff-arm:
