Back on April 26, The Texas Longhorns earned a commitment from Oklahoma City (Putnam City HS) defensive end Ron Tatum. Folks on the Texas side, including UT running backs coach Stan Drayton, took quite a bit of joy in chiding the Oklahoma Sooners over the loss of an in-state product. Drayton posted the following tweet on the day of Tatum’s original commitment:
Ain't no river wide enough

Well, the tables turned on Monday, as the four-star prospect announced a flip from Texas to Oklahoma. OU defensive line coach Calvin Thibodeaux decided to return the favor to Drayton.
I guess that river was wide enough after all #Boomer!!!!!! pic.twitter.com/q7nlzXGTrp

Is there anything better on this earth than recruiting pettiness? To be honest, probably quite a few things, this is pretty great! On top of the opportunity to rub this in the face of a rival, Thibodeaux has to be overjoyed about the opportunity to coach a player of this caliber. Tatum is one of the most talented defensive prospects the state of Oklahoma has produced in recent years, so keeping him north of the Red River is crucial.
