Bob Stoops announced on Wednesday that sophomore cornerback Jordan Parker will miss eight weeks with a stress fracture in his foot and won’t play in this Saturday’s spring game scrimmage.

Parker had a breakout freshman season with eight starts, 36 tackles and three pass breakups. He’s slated to start 2017 opposite Jordan Thomas in the OU defensive backfield.
The news is disappointing, but will give other players an opportunity to shine on Saturday. Parnell Motley in particular will look to finish off a strong spring camp with more snaps in Parker’s absence.
