On Wednesday evening, Putnam City (Oklahoma City, Okla.) defensive end Ron Tatum narrowed his recruitment to a star-studded final five schools on Twitter.

Tatum, a four-star prospect considered one of Oklahoma’s best recruits, visited the Sooners in January and again for the spring game earlier this month.
Tatum’s also visited UT, so this may turn into a battle between the flashy new Austin regime and the tried-and-true Stoops-led Sooners.
At 6-4 and 269 pounds, Tatum brings college size and surprising athleticism to the gridiron. A talented high school pass-rusher, Tatum might get looks at Obo’s “Jack” DE/OLB position if he picks OU.
We all know it’s been a rough couple weeks for the Sooners on the trail. But OU’s in great shape with this talented Sooner State lineman, and most pundits are predicting that Tatum will end up wearing the crimson and cream.
He’s the kind of talent that can re-energize the 2018 class, especially the Oklahoma recruits.
