Oklahoma Sooners offensive lineman Christian Daimler, who would’ve been a redshirt senior this coming season, has announced his decision to leave the program. Daimler has been granted a release and intends to be a graduate transfer.

The Houston native was rated as a three-star prospect out of Stratford High School in 2013 and chose the Sooners over Texas A&M, Arizona State and Washington State. However, Daimler only saw action in three games during his career in Norman. Oklahoma is returning virtually it’s entire offensive line in 2017, so the chances of him seeing much of the field as a senior were quite slim.
We obviously wish Daimler the best in the future, and we hope he’s able to find a great opportunity elsewhere. I’m sure that more than a few programs in need of depth will take a flier on the 6-7, 321-pound lineman.
