Oklahoma safety commit Patrick Fields is a guy who’s made it very clear how involved he will be in recruiting other prospects. On Thursday night, the Tulsa Union product tweeted something that should probably excite you.
I feel a couple booms coming this weekend Soonernation stay tuned

Who is he referring to? Signs point to IMG Academy running back T.J. Pledger and Tulsa Union defensive end Jordan Kelley.
T.J. Pledger, the nation’s No. 2 all-purpose back, has had Oklahoma at the top of his list for months now, and a commitment has seemed imminent for about as long. He was in Norman for an unofficial visit back in December for Bedlam, and he’s making a return trip this weekend.

Could this weekend’s visit seal the deal? If I were a betting man (which I am), I’d say yes. It may not necessarily happen while he’s in town, but it will likely happen sooner rather than later. Although he recently released a list of his top schools — which included Clemson, Georgia, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oregon, Tennessee and UCLA — the Sooners are definitely sitting pretty.

Tulsa Union defensive end Jordan Kelley is down to OU, Oklahoma State and TCU, and his announcement will come on Sunday.
The three-star prospect received an OU offer at last month’s Junior Day, and a commitment has seemed like a certainty ever since. The tweet from Fields (who is Kelley’s high school teammate) makes things look even better.

Things have been a little bit quiet on the recruiting front for the past few weeks, but it appears that the silence is about to end!
