Oklahoma Sooners Football Recruiting: OU Makes WR Joshua Moore’s Top 10

The versatile athlete from IMG Academy has visited Norman on multiple occasions.

Bradenton, Fla. (IMG Academy) wide receiver Joshua Moore has trimmed his list of schools to 10, and the Sooners have made the cut. The Sooners are joined by Alabama, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Nebraska, Ohio State, Tennessee, Texas and Texas A&M. Moore is listed as 2018’s No. 83 overall player in the 247 Composite rankings.

Moore is fairly familiar with the Oklahoma program, as he’s visited Norman and met with coaches on multiple occasions. However, Florida State and the two Texas schools are going to make it an uphill battle for the Sooners to secure a commitment or eventual signature. FSU has the IMG advantage, as IMG has been a pipeline for them recently. Texas and Texas A&M, on the other hand, likely benefit from the fact that Moore is originally from Texas. It should also be noted that his brother, Jordan Moore, is currently committed to A&M.

There’s no doubt that Moore is a tremendously talented and versatile prospect. He has the size and athleticism to thrive at both wide receiver and defensive back, though he’ll definitely need to add a bit of weight to that 6-0, 170-ish frame.

After watching his highlights, it’s pretty apparent why virtually every major program in the country has been after this kid for such a long time. One of his earliest offers (and first major offer) came from Oklahoma back in April of 2016, so that’s something that definitely doesn’t hurt OU’s cause. Let’s just hope OU is able to stay in the running long enough to have a fighter’s chance in the end.
