We’re only about two months away from witnessing a football game at Owen Field!
The university’s athletic communications office announced Monday that the 2017 OU Spring Game will be played on April 8 at 1 p.m.
61 days until football is back!!!

Considering the fact that spring game performances can often be fool’s gold (see Garrett Gilbert’s performance in Texas’ 2010 spring game), I know that I shouldn’t get too excited for this. However, I just can’t help myself. The Sooners have 11 newcomers on campus, and I’m ready to watch each and every one of them. I can’t wait to see Chris Robison’s arm strength. I can’t wait to see how agile Trey Sermon is for a back of his size. I can’t wait to see Marquise Brown’s quickness in the open field.
I’m sure we’ll be able to witness all three things mentioned above, but will we be able to witness any tackling this time around? The Oklahoma coaches didn’t allow it last year, and I’d be willing the bet it’ll be the case once again in 2017.
