As the Sooner Nation is still reveling in the news out of Norman from this afternoon, here are some tweets to continue celebrating Trae Day.
Firstly, the announcement for anyone who might’ve missed it live:
Trae’s talked with ESPNU on his decision and how he’s just all about that winning, boss:

Sooner Hoops Past, Present (and Future)
Buddy says hello (and to also be careful with your hand placement when flying around screens set by really irritating big men):
Trae Young will represent the Sooners next month as the first McDonald’s All-American from the state of Oklahoma to don the crimson and cream since Blake Griffin in 2007.
Speaking of, here’s quick but cool look back at some other Oklahoma high school prep stars who stayed in state with the Sooners, led by the late great Wayman Tisdale:
You remember those hilarious Future Blake Meets Past Blake commercials? Well, read this tweet while imagining Future Blake taking a trip back to 2009 to impart his great wisdom on an even-younger Trae Young:
Trae Young says he was a ball boy at OU when Jeff Capel coached here during the Blake Griffin era. Says it played a factor.— SoonerScoop.com (@SoonerScoop) February 16, 2017
Proof that time travel does exist, via Future Blake Griffin:
The campus take, via the OU Daily:
Thankfully, Momma Young had the last word over Pops in the end of the long recruiting process of Trae. If you have time, check out the family’s roundtable leading up to the announcement, via USA Today. It’s pretty neat.

Dear Bill Self,
Jayhawk fans needn’t worry, as national basketball analyst Eric Bossi of Rivals reminds the spurned fanbase in Lawrence. Both OU and KU fanbases should be in for a few memorable point guard matchups next season (and beyond) if Bill Self does indeed land Trevon Duval of IMG Academy (Bradenton, FL):
Also, this from Bossi...
