Cedarian “CeeDee” Lamb, listed as the No. 25 receiver in the 247 Composite rankings, has officially signed with Oklahoma. Lamb originally committed to OU back in December of 2015 before backing off in April. He then recommitted to OU in July and eventually reaffirmed that commitment in December. Lamb received offers from Texas, Texas A&M, Alabama, Auburn, Florida and LSU during his recruiting process.
Lamb possesses the body and leaping ability to be an elite jump-ball receiver at the next level. The Sooners have had some good jump-ball guys in recent years, but most are not nearly as tall as he is. Lamb is someone who — as long as he applies himself — can play on Sundays after three or four years in Norman. I expect him to compete for playing time immediately in the fall, and he could be a starter for the Sooners by the end of the 2017 season.
CeeDee is my favorite OU signee in the 2017 class, and you can see why that’s the case by watching the video below.
