Oklahoma Sooners Football Recruiting: CB Tre Brown Signs With Oklahoma

The Tulsa Union phenom has speed that kills.

Student Sports

Tulsa Union cornerback Tre Brown made it official on Wednesday, signing a National Letter of Intent with Oklahoma. Brown originally committed to Oklahoma back in March of 2016, but he decided to take one final visit to Florida before inking with OU. Fortunately, the visit ended up being no threat to the Sooners in the end.

Brown is an incredibly quick player who will be a lot of fun to watch at the next level. In fact, his speed makes him one of my favorite players in this class. He won’t be expected to start in the 2017 season opener against UTEP, but he will be a contributor sooner rather than later. His speed also makes him a decent candidate to be a solid returner at some point in his career.

Tre Brown is one of six Oklahoma natives in OU’s 2017 class. The trend of having several Oklahoma natives in a recruiting class is definitely a positive, especially in a year in which the in-state talent is so rich.
