The four-star prospect is listed as the No. 15 dual-theat quarterback and the No. 302 overall player in the 247Composite Rankings. Before committing to Oklahoma, Mordecai had received offers from Baylor, Georgia, Missouri, North Carolina, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss and others.
Mordecai definitely has a bit of swagger to him, which is a welcome sight to Oklahoma fans that are accustomed to watching Baker Mayfield. His teammates definitely feed off of his energy and effort. In addition to all of that, he’s a really talented player who has the ability to escape pressure and improvise. Sound familiar?
As is usually the case with QBs, he’ll likely have to wait his turn to make a real impact. However, he should be a really fun player to watch if his number is called at some point. I’m a big fan of what this guy could bring to the table, and I’m not alone.
Mordecai has had an incredible senior season, which will culminate on Saturday night when his team plays for a state championship at JerryWorld.
