The Oklahoma Sooners and TCU Horned Frogs squared off in a rematch of a November 11 game in Norman, and the result was almost exactly the same. The Sooners jumped out to an early 17-0 lead and never looked back on their way to a 41-17 route of Kenny Hill and company. The early turning point of the game came on TCU’s first offensive play, which resulted in a 18 yard scoop and score by Oklahoma’s Caleb Kelly.

Rodney Anderson continued to carry the bulk of the load for OU’s rushing attack with 24 carries for 93 yards. Trey Sermon added 10 carries for 63 yards in his best performance since the Oklahoma State game.
After closing the first half on shaky ground, the Oklahoma defense allowed no points, four first downs and 95 total yards, reinforcing the belief that this unit can produce results with its back against the wall. In total, the OU defense allowed only 317 yards of total offense, including only 83 rushing yards.
Oklahoma finishes the regular season 12-1, and is almost a mortal lock to be one of the four teams that will compete in the College Football Playoff. The CFB Playoff announcement show is Sunday at 11 am CT.
