Oklahoma Basketball: Sooners jump into AP Poll, move up in Coaches Poll

Trae Young, Brady Manek and the Oklahoma Sooners are getting their recognition after putting on a show against Wichita State.

After going on the road and defeating No. 3 Wichita State in front of 15,000 people, the Oklahoma Sooners have finally entered the AP Poll at No. 17. The Sooners also moved up to No. 17 in the Coaches Poll after being ranked 24th last week.

After Oklahoma’s debut in the AP Poll, the Big 12 now has six teams in the top 25 of both polls.

The Sooners will face Northwestern State (La.) on Tuesday before meeting Northwestern on Friday. Both games are scheduled to tip off at 6 p.m.
