PREACH!
Oklahoma Sooners play-by-play voice Toby Rowland has always brought a lot of energy to OU’s football broadcasts, and his use of “Unhitch the wagons and put the ponies in the barn!” has become his signature line when the Sooners clinch games. However, this is the first time I’ve ever seen him make that call, and it’s something special to behold.

Rowland has only been the Voice of the Sooners since 2011, but he’s already established himself as one of the best in the business. In addition to his outstanding commentary from the booth, his weekly “scene setter” is always a must-watch.
On a football note, I’m really glad that Trey Sermon scored that TD for one very important reason. Did it have an impact on the outcome? Not really, as OU could have easily run out the clock. However, this gives OU fans a crunch-time moment to savor from this classic game. Which late play would’ve gone down in OU lore otherwise? An overthrown pass from Mason Rudolph? Not likely. This run gave us something to cherish for years to come, and we otherwise might not have had something like this. Although... taking a knee in the open field would have been pretty incredible.
