Earlier this afternoon, we showed you a picture of the uniforms being used at this weekend’s PK80 Invitational. OU has now released an in-depth description of the uniforms that the Oklahoma Sooners will be wearing.
Heading to #PK80 in style next week.

The alternates will feature the wood grain look, which is featured prominently in OU’s “Rough Rider” football alternates. Additionally, the uniforms are part of Nike's "Rio" design, a cut originally created for the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics. OU will also wear crimson socks and all-black Nike shoes during the tournament.
Aside from the wood grain on the sides (which I don’t think really works for these jerseys), I’m a fan of the design. The mesh at the top is kind of cool, and the thin shoulder straps look a lot better than the wider ones you see on Oklahoma’s base uniforms. I know these were designed strictly for this tournament, but I’d love to see OU wear these again later in the season.
OU’s counterparts in next Thursday’s opening round, the Arkansas Razorbacks, will wear black jerseys with a giant hog across the top. I think that one is the winner this year, although Gonzaga’s and Oklahoma’s are also pretty legit.
The 15 other uniforms can be seen here.
