When the Oklahoma Sooners play the Oklahoma State Cowboys, it will potentially be a game between two teams occupying spots in the top 10. However, the Bedlam broadcast is still set for 3 p.m. on FS1.

This is just a terrible look for the Big 12 and says a lot about the outside perception of the conference at this point. Granted, there are a lot of good games on the schedule that Saturday, but this one at least deserves a spot on FOX. The World Series will be done by that point, so it’s somewhat surprising that FOX — who claimed the rights back in the fall — didn’t pick this one up for the big channel.
This is bad, but I’ll be much more concerned if a one-loss OU team hosts an undefeated TCU team and gets a bad TV slot the week after Bedlam. In that scenario, Norman should host College GameDay and the game would deserve a prime time slot on ABC or FOX.
Anyway, at least the game time is decent. OU fans who make the trip up to Stillwater will have time to tailgate and won’t have to wake up too early. So I guess there’s that.
