It sure wasn’t pretty, but it was a win. OU came back from an 11-point halftime deficit to escape Manhattan with a 42-35 victory. The win was secured by Rodney Anderson’s 22-yard touchdown run with 7 seconds remaining in the game. Anderson finished with 177 all-purpose yards and a pair of fourth quarter touchdowns.

Oklahoma’s defense surrendered touchdowns on three of Kansas State’s first four drives of the game before tightening up in the second half. The Wildcats were forced into three consecutive punts and were shut out in the third quarter.
Baker Mayfield was his usual self going 32/41 for 410 yards and two touchdowns through the air. Mayfield also got it done on the ground, tallying a nice 69 yards and two touchdowns on 9 carries.
Marquise Brown led the Sooners in receiving with 6 catches for 126 yards. Brown’s career day came at an opportune time as star wideout CeeDee Lamb was held to just one reception for 12 yards.
The victory pulls the Sooners’ record to 6-1 overall and 3-1 in Big 12 play. OU takes on Texas Tech in Norman for homecoming next Saturday night.
