Fua Leilua, a junior college defensive tackle who is committed to Oklahoma State, decided it was a good idea to share his confidence in his new program on Twitter.
We're taking the Big 12 Championship next year mark my words #PistolsFiring ⚫️

However, Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield is always roaming the Twitter streets. Baker, of course, saw Fua’s tweet and decided to chime in on the subject.

You can’t fault Fua Leilua for not knowing any better. He’s a native of Utah, so he doesn’t know how things work in this state. Oklahoma State players and fans have a tendency to get a little too cocky whenever the future looks rosy. This confidence is eventually dashed by the Oklahoma Sooners (or sometimes the Oklahoma State Cowboys) on most occasions, and order is restored. This Twitter conversation is an example of that in a nutshell.
As far as 2017 is concerned, I don’t really envision Oklahoma State taking down OU. OSU will have a really good team next season, but Baker and five returning starters along the offensive line will be really tough to beat. I certainly admire the kid’s confidence, but it’ll eventually take a hit (as it likely did today).
@baker_mayfield6 oh wow i get to bring this gif back out of retirement pic.twitter.com/gtRa31dy4U
